Two young boys were robbed at knife point in Beckenham yesterday.

Police were called at 6.07pm on Monday, February 19 to reports that a 12-year-boy and his 11-year-old friend were threatened by a male youth who demanded their mobile phones.

Victim 1 handed his over but the suspect did not want it. The suspect then tried to steal Victim 2’s phone but he recovered it and the victims rode into Croydon Recreation Ground on their bikes.

The suspect followed the victims and threatened them with a knife. Victim 1 handed over his backpack and the suspect stole some camera equipment. The victims then rode off.

Shortly afterwards, the pair saw the same suspect steal a bicycle from a third victim in the High Street. The bicycle was recovered a short time later after the suspect was chased by Victim 3’s friends and he dropped the bike.

None of the victims were injured. No arrests have been made and enquiries are continuing.
